The world’s most international brewer was launching a new strategy to drive sustainable growth, including creating new revenue sources. As part of the strategy, they sought new insights into what products, services and brand experiences would delight customers. Efficient operations are also a key driver for sustainable growth, and Heineken needed insights to improve supply-chain efficiency, production and packing line logistics, and forecasting.
But it would be a challenge. With over 80 operating companies — including many acquisitions — and a diverse set of global suppliers, Heineken had an incredibly complex data landscape. The OpCos managed data autonomously and with different technologies.
Heineken deployed the Collibra Platform to gain visibility, import data standards, clean data, and maintain yearly reapproval cycles. It also helps them understand the data’s business case, related business terms, rules and ownership hierarchy. Collibra also integrates with other tools Heineken uses, including SAP and Microsoft Power BI.
And then they gave access to all 85,000 employees: a one-stop shop to access data and insights. It’s their foundation for Data Confidence.
